At Fair Acres Boutique Hotel and Mua Hills, our passion lies in creating a holistic and enjoyable experience while embedding responsible business practices throughout our organization. This dedication guides us in aligning our processes, systems, and operations with a vision to be a sustainable and responsible business.
From our lush gardens to our laundry operations, we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint through sustainable initiatives and action plans that reduce energy and water usage, eliminate plastics, and effectively manage waste.
Water
During your stay, we invite you to guide us on how often you would like us to launder your room to minimize water use. We also recycle all water used at our properties to maintain our gardens, feeding essential nutrients back into the ecosystem sustainably.
Waste
As part of our commitment to reducing plastic usage, we have eliminated plastic bottles in our conference rooms and transitioned to using water dispensers. Additionally, we partner with Mr. Green to recycle plastic waste, while creatively repurposing glass waste into reusable items throughout the hotel, giving them a second life within our spaces.
Community
Recognizing our role within the local community, we provide bursaries to support education for students in need, reinforcing our commitment to positive social impact.
Diversity
We value diversity and inclusivity, hiring individuals from varied backgrounds, reflecting our dedication to a vibrant, inclusive workforce that embodies our values.
At Mua Hills, our energy needs are met 60% by solar power, showcasing our commitment to renewable energy. Fair Acres also actively reduces its carbon footprint, meeting 40% of its energy requirements through solar panels.
We are continually working towards achieving 100% solar energy across both properties. Additionally, we have implemented smart lighting solutions to ensure energy is only used when necessary.
Surrounded by nature, both properties offer a serene environment for our guests. At Mua Hills, as part of our checkout process, we invite guests to plant a tree, contributing to the reforestation and preservation of our beautiful landscape.
Through these initiatives, we’re proud to offer an enriching experience that respects both our environment and community.

Beautiful gardens and great views all the way to Ngong Hills and probably Mt Kenya on a clear day. The service was great and fresh tasty food. We ordered the grilled platter and the goat meat was very soft and the French fries were fresh and crispy on top and soft and fluffy inside. The wine was also good, they gave us a South African Merlot that paired beautifully with the meat. I hope the court does the roads to this place as we only left early because we didn’t want to negotiate the drive in the dark. There are a few cabins and a main house which hosts a family. The food i give 50 50 i know they can do better. On accomodation 10 out of 10 minus nothing! On service pleasant the staff are great they know hospitality. The location is ok because its an hour from Nairobi but the challenge is its a bit of rough terrain so a 4x4 is ideal for some sections. Theres a pool. Enjoyed the mixologist cocktails. Dzame Karisa2025-02-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We loved the serenity and tranquility of this place.
